Culled from UNPO.ORG statement by the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) was released on 25 July 2018 over the grave human rights situation in Cameroon. The statement notes in particular how the Cameroonian government perpetuates its stance of not granting the OHCHR access to the Northwest and Southwest Provinces that constitute Ambazonia. UNPO condemns any act of violence and welcomes the strong statement of High Commissioner Al Hussein, which does not guarantee that any action will be taken however. The latter explains why the Ambazonian Recognition and Collaborative Council (ARCC) released a statement condemning the United Nations’s passivity regarding the current situation.
